Our building meets the State of Tennessee requirements. There is a main entrance that is only accessible by assigned codes. Each classroom has its own bathroom facilities and a one way window so that the classroom activities can be viewed by parents and staff at any time. Each classroom has an emergency exit door and windows.

At Making Memories we believe that no child is too young to learn. We will provide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities and materials that will enhance children's experiences. Our curriculum (WEE Learn) is designed to meet each child's individual needs. Weekly theme based lesson plans are developed around topics which provide opportunities for children to learn about God's world and how to live in it. Also, they focus on each child's social skills, self-image, language skills, and creative expression. All of our classrooms are arranged in Discovery Centers which allow children to play, talk, move around, and engage in meaningful activities.
The center is owned and directed by Janet Abel (right). Mrs. Abel has both the educational background and relevant work experience necessary to effectively perform the duties required of an administrator of a childcare center. Mrs. Abel has a BS degree in Special Education from the University of Memphis and a MA degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Bethel College. She has owned and directed this center since 2005. Additionally, Mrs. Abel has nearly 10 years of classroom experience and 5 years of supervisory experience.
Our Assistant Director is Mrs. Gabi Osborn (left). In addition to 2 years of business school, she has over 18 years of experience in the child care industry. Mrs. Osborn has previously owned a Home Day Care business for over 7 years while stationed in Alaska and taught preschoolers in Florida at Tyndall Family Child Care. Gabi has been the Lead Teacher of our Three and Four Year Olds since 2005 and became our Assistant Director in January of 2013.
In a business management position is Gloria Phillips (left). Mrs. Phillips has a BS degree in Business Education from Abilene Christian University and a MA degree in Education from the University of Memphis. She has 11 years of experience as a classroom teacher, 15 years as an Executive Secretary, and 5 years as a previous Daycare Director.
